Christian Music Hall of Fame Goes After Old Belz Factory Outlet Mall

Andy Woolard, President of the Christian Music Hall of Fame and Museum, has issued a letter of intent to the owners of the old Belz Factory Outlet Mall as a place to house the Hall of Fame and Museum.

“This building would house much more than just our hall of fame and museum. It is large enough to make it a music mall, consisting of manufacturer’s mini museums while they offer their products and much more. It would be in an ideal location for us.” States Woolard. After spending a few hours looking around the mall, Woolard announced it would take a lot to remodel the mall, which has sat vacant for a number of years. “It is a dump right now, with so many vandals stealing all the wire and fixtures, but there is a hidden jewel among all the wreckage. It would have to be completely gutted,” he adds.

The mall is located just off the corner of State Hwy. 121 and US Hwy 75. Woolard believes this would be a near perfect location with the amount of traffic on these highways and all the additional amenities in the area.

The Christian Music Hall of Fame would occupy approximately one forth of the building including the museum, a cafeteria and gift shop. The center area of the mall would be home to a free concert every Friday night highlighting local Christian artists. Other areas would be made available to music related businesses.

“The music mall idea was given to me by a friend after we looked at the property. There is so much we can do with such a large facility. The main goal is to find a home for the museum and then provide other attractions for locals and tourists. It will take a large amount of work to get it where it has the potential to be. We must first see if the owners are interested in working something out. They know we are interested and now we wait to see what they offer.” Woolard concludes.
